Freshly ground coffee helps preserve more of the beans' natural aroma and flavor, while a burr grinder gives you better control over grind size and extraction.

• Freshness: Grind your beans just before brewing to preserve more aroma and flavor.
• Consistency: A burr grinder provides a more consistent grind for more predictable extraction.
• Control: Adjust the grind size to match your beans, dose, and espresso recipe.

The G9010D's 48mm stainless steel conical burrs and 60-scale stepless grind adjustment make it easy to fine-tune your grind for espresso and other brewing methods.

For the best results, pair the G9010D with your Gemilai espresso machine and adjust the grind based on your beans, dose, and extraction.

Start around 3–6 on the G9010D, then fine-tune based on your espresso extraction.

  • Espresso runs too slowly or does not flow: The grind may be too fine. Move to a larger number to grind coarser.
  • Espresso runs too quickly: The grind may be too coarse. Move to a smaller number to grind finer.

Keep your dose and other brewing variables consistent when dialing in, and make small adjustments until you find the right setting for your beans and espresso machine.

The G9010D uses a 60-scale stepless grind adjustment with 12 main reference settings, covering a wide range from fine espresso to coarse cold brew.

In general:
Lower number = finer grind
Higher number = coarser grind

1 is at the finer end, while 12 is at the coarser end.

Turn the grind adjustment gradually to fine-tune your coffee. Use the numbered settings as reference points and make smaller adjustments between them when needed.

The G9010D offers Timed Mode and Manual Mode for flexible dosing.

  • Power: Tap the power button to turn the grinder on.
  • Timed Mode: Set a grinding time from 5–60 seconds for more consistent dosing.
  • Manual Mode: Press and hold the touchscreen for 2 seconds to switch between Timed and Manual Mode.
  • One-Touch Grinding: Place your portafilter under the outlet and gently press it against the built-in microswitch to start grinding directly into the basket. Release to stop.

You can also use the included dosing cup for grinding into a separate container.

The G9010D is designed for a wide range of brewing methods, from fine espresso to coarse cold brew.

Espresso: 3–6
Moka Pot: 6–7
French Press: 7–9
Pour Over: 10–12
Cold Brew: 12

These are starting points rather than fixed settings. Your ideal grind may vary depending on your beans, roast level, recipe, and brewing equipment.

The G9010D is designed for smooth, clean grinding with Plasma Anti-Static Technology and an inclined grind outlet to help reduce static, flying grounds, clumping, and coffee residue around the outlet.

A small amount of coffee residue is normal, and grinding behavior can vary depending on the beans, roast level, humidity, and grind size.

To keep the grinder performing smoothly:

• Keep the grinding chamber and outlet clean.
• Use the included brush to remove residual grounds when needed.

1. If the display shows "E0", first check that the bean hopper is properly installed and fully locked.

2. Turn the hopper clockwise until it is securely in place, then restart the grinder.

3. If the "E0" message remains, unplug the grinder and check that the hopper and burr assembly are correctly installed.
